Southern California Summer Pro League presented by and1
The Summer Pro League has had some very enticing sponsorship positions available, and as the league takes shape for July 2012, one of the best places has been taken.

There are still sponsorship positions available, but And1 has definitely capitalized on a great opportunity.

And1 is a phenomenal business that has recently gone through reinvention. It’s hard to imagine a better way for a company to display its products than to the up-and-coming basketball stars of next year through a partnership with Summer Pro League.

And1, welcome to the team!

CoinSniper.com 3/21 Launches as The Best Place to Learn About Coin Deals Online

Thursday, March 22nd, 2012

Today, Rusty Scropper, proprietor and Numismatist behind CoinSniper.com launched his new site as a resource for coin collectors on a budget.
CoinSniper.com - The Best Place to Learn About Coin Deals Online
“Eventually, I’d like to run some coin auctions on the site, but for the mean time we’ve got to build traffic.” Rusty’s solution to growing the site is to start with a fantastic grouping of resources for coin collectors. He’s also added a forums section where he’ll scour the Internet for good coin deals and auctions. “I want collectors to associate CoinSniper.com with great deals for coins on the Internet, as that is after all the whole idea.”

In the Numismatic Learning Center, Rusty’s written introductory articles about grading and valuing coins, along with some of the other things that should be of concern to collectors. In the CoinSniper.com Forums, there are current listings of coin deals he’s found, and the Coin Auction listing is probably the most complete listing of Internet Auctions selling coins anywhere online. Rusty and CoinSniper.com have no affiliations with any other dealers or auction houses, so these listings are the best he can find.

Rusty will be updating CoinSniper’s facebook page with Numismatic News in an attempt to spur discussion. He’s tweeting away at @CoinSniper also, sharing deals and news for collectors to find.

Congrats on a fantastic site, Rusty! We hope you can start selling coins profitably soon!

Checkered Past Racing Announces Ambitious Schedule for 2012

Friday, March 2nd, 2012

Chris Locke of Checkered Past Racing has informed fans through his website, www.CheckeredPastRacing.com, that this year’s racing schedule will be nearly as ambitious as the Professional Formula One calendar, giving fans of the awesome Lotus 76 the opportunity to see the car in person from the middle of March at Laguna Seca all the way until the end of November at the Circuit of the Americas in Austin, TX if the US Grand Prix is to happen there this year.

Fans of the Lotus 76 should be able to see the car… not in person, but greatly enlarged… sometime next year.

Chris’ stable of Loti now has an interloper in the form of a Formula 2 Chevron B39. Chris allowed the car to be campaigned last year its original driver Indycar racer Lyn St. James to the great delight of racing fans everywhere. Chris intends to use the car himself this year, not to the great delight of Lyn St. James. She may get another go if Chris gets too busy with his 76, or with Classic Team Lotus’ incredible Lotus 79.

A few highlights of the schedule include the normal races in Monterey and Napa, but also Monaco (pending acceptance), Portland, Limerock, both Goodwoods, and as mentioned before, perhaps the United States Grand Prix, if that event comes to pass.

We wish Chris luck in 2012!
